Our philosophy

Our group trips are structured differently than what you may be used to seeing.  Personally, we do not like to get up at 6:00 AM and have to have breakfast and be on a bus by 6:30 AM only to be gone on excursions all day.  By the time you have dinner at 7:00 PM you're exhausted and the day was just a blur because it was so packed full.  This is why we want our travelers to customize their trips so that they can choose how busy they want their days to be.  
Harder Travel organizes the logistics of the trip, including flights, accommodations, and transportation between the cities we stay in.  We want everyone to do the things that interest them the most, so once we arrive in a city we do not require that you join us on any excursion.  We will provide ideas and help you get to where you want to go, providing the level of service you need to feel comfortable traveling in that city.  We will have one tour per day planned, and anyone will be welcome to join us on that tour if they would like.  For example, we might go see the Vatican one day, and you can choose to come with the guides, or you can head to the Colosseum instead.  We can show you which metro to take to get there, help you navigate on your phone, or just be available by text or phone call for questions as you try to figure it out on your own.  Check out the two sample itineraries below to see how two travelers customized their trip to Italy in 2019:
We choose destinations that we have visited multiple times and are very accustomed to the culture.  Another perk that comes with Harder Travel is that we host two pre-travel parties where we share information about the places we're visiting, provide tips on packing and what to expect at our destinations, review different tours and excursions available, and start building relationships with the people that travel with us.
