Group Travel

Who can join the Chamber-sponsored group trips?
Anyone is welcome to join! You do not need to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce or even live in that community. Our group trips are open to all travelers looking for a well-organized, memorable experience.

Do I have to live in a specific city or state to travel with Harder Travel?
Not at all! We proudly accommodate travelers from anywhere in the U.S. — and even beyond. We’ll work with you to arrange the best flights in your preferred fare class to connect you with the group, no matter where you’re located.  You only pay the difference in fare.

Do I need to travel with someone, or can I come solo?
Some of our travelers join solo. Group trips are a wonderful way to meet new people while having the peace of mind that all the planning is taken care of.  Each trip has limited availability for solo travelers and there is a single supplement added to your base fare.

What’s included in your group trips?
Each trip has unique inclusions depending on the destination, but generally covers Delta flights, accommodations, select meals, excursions on days the group travels between cities, and a dedicated trip leader that is local and will assist with any question or concern throughout the journey. Specific details can be found in each trip’s full itinerary.

How do I sign up for a trip?
You can view upcoming trips and download the registration packet on our website.  Simply complete the forms in the packet and submit it to Harder Travel via email, mail, or dropping off at the partner-chamber office along with your deposit.  If you’d like personalized help, feel free to contact us — we’re happy to answer questions and guide you through the booking process.

What if I have special travel needs?
We do our best to accommodate all travelers. If you have mobility, dietary, or other special requirements, please let us know during booking so we can plan accordingly.

What is the best way to stay informed about upcoming trips?
Follow Harder Travel on Facebook, or sign up to receive email updates through our newsletter. We also have a Coming Soon page where you can see which adventures are ahead before registration is open.

General

How do your travel planning services work?
We keep things simple — and affordable. Harder Travel works on a commission basis with hotels, transportation services and tour operators, which means we earn our pay directly from them. You won’t pay any extra fees to use our services. The exception to this is if you request that we book flights-only. In that case, we have a $25 service charge for our time researching the best option for you.

What are the benefits of using a travel agent vs. planning on my own?
Here are just a few:
  • We save you time and stress by handling logistics, researching deals, and managing bookings.
  • We can sometimes access perks (room upgrades, special amenities) that aren't visible to the general public.
  • If something goes wrong (flight changes, cancellations, etc.), you’ve got someone to advocate for you — so you don’t spend hours on hold.
  • Our knowledge & experience help you avoid common pitfalls, get the best value, and perhaps see things you might not have found on your own.

Do I need to use you for everything, or only parts of my trip?
You decide! Whether you want us to plan every detail of your trip, or just help with one piece (flights, hotels, or excursions/tours, etc.), we can tailor our services to your needs.

Can you help me plan trips outside the U.S.?
Yes — absolutely. We plan both domestic and international travel, from short getaways to multi-destination adventures. Wherever you want to go, we’ll help get you there (with fewer headaches).

What if unexpected issues come up during my trip?
That’s when our value really shows. If flights are delayed or canceled, or other things change, we step in on your behalf. We’ll help rebook, rearrange, or adjust so you can keep enjoying the trip (or at least minimize the disruption).

Who does more of the work, Carly or Nathan?
Let’s just say Carly handles 95% of the trip planning, vendor research, customer questions, etc. … Nathan’s contribution? Very important: carrying the suitcases, trying new foods, and giving moral support. (He also makes sure everyone's phone works when traveling :) )

We look forward to traveling with you soon.
